Happy Halloween

Halloween this year was super fun! I was so fun because my girls are getting older and can understand the holiday a little better, especially Brooklyn. I ordered a lot of cute Halloween books, which the girls loved! They especially loved the book, "We're Off the Find the Witches House." The book really helped set the Halloween mood.

One Friday, Mike and I took the girls to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. It was really fun, but kind of expensive. The girls both cried in the kiddy haunted house. It's amazing how just being in dark place and hearing loud, creepy music can really scare a kid. They both really enjoyed the hayride and slides. The whole excursion reminded mike and me that we need to do more things like that and create fun family memories. I wish I had pictures to show off, but my camera was out of batteries--I was so mad! (we rented a tractor wagon and the girls looked so cute--Brooklyn was holding Kate in between her legs)

One Tuesday night, while Mike was at meetings, we also made balloon bats. It was fun and the girls thought they were pretty cool. They are still handing in my living room.

On Halloween day, we walked around the mall, went to our ward's trunk-or-treat and then went and saw both grandparents. Brooklyn loved to go trick-or-treating! She knew exactly what to do when she got up to the door. (They practiced it in prescool). It was a fun night, but by the end they were so done with their Care Bear costumes!

Earlier in October, the girls and I were able to fly out to Denver to see my sister and her family and welcome the arrival of baby Addi. It was so good to see my sister and her family! I can't wait for them to come out for Thanksgiving. My sister-in-law just had her baby girl last Tuesday. Cory and Tricia named her Loreli. She is darling. Brooklyn loves her. Kate hasn't seen her yet becasue she has had double ear infections.
